Mr. Ditchey is a former Naval Aviator.  After serving fourteen years of active duty, He was honorably discharged from the US Navy, holding the rank of Commander, USNRR.  He is a Lifetime member of the US Naval Academy Alumni Association.

As a Naval Officer, Mr. Ditchey's operational field of specialization was anti-submarine warfare.  He has over 3,000 flight hours of pilot time in patrol aircraft.

Mr. Ditchey was a carrier-qualified pilot, having made arrested landings with the T28, S2 and C1 aircraft.  The above photo is of the USS Lexington.  Mr. Ditchey made numerous landings on Lexington.
